About This Experience

Experience a hands-on marine wildlife adventure in Byron Bay that blends education, conservation and underwater exploration. This unique experience is ideal for eco-conscious travellers, wildlife enthusiasts and families with curious young adventurers.

Begin with an engaging marine turtle workshop, where you’ll learn the biology and behaviours of the local turtle species, how to spot and identify them and the important role they play in maintaining ocean health. Experience the thrill of becoming a citizen scientist, where you will get a chance to contribute to real research by capturing photo-ID data when turtles are spotted during the snorkel.

Next, gear up and dive into the spectacular Nguthugulli Julian Rocks Reserve, a vibrant marine sanctuary located just off the Byron coastlines.

Guided by marine experts, you will spend approximately 60 minutes in the water, observing and photographing marine life while soaking in the serene beauty of this iconic location.

Home to over 1000 species of marine life, this protected marine haven offers the chance to snorkel alongside leopard sharks, eagle rays, manta rays, grey nurse sharks and reef fish.

This tour provides a deeply meaningful and awe-inspiring experience that fosters a genuine connection with nature. It's a chance for you to become part of something bigger, all while appreciating the beauty and importance of the environment around us.
