The Premium Whale Watching Adventure offers guaranteed main deck window seating for guests seeking a more comfortable whale-watching experience. Departing from Redcliffe aboard ‘Eye Spy’, this 5-hour cruise explores Moreton Bay's world-renowned whale watching grounds, where migrating Humpback Whales are frequently seen breaching, tail slapping and swimming close to the vessel.

When the whales appear, excitement spreads quickly across the vessel. With the Premium package, you can step onto any of the viewing decks to enjoy the action up close before returning to your reserved window table whenever you choose. During the cruise, Captain Kerry Lopez and her experienced crew share fascinating insights into Humpback Whale behaviour and migration. A dedicated Cessna spotter plane works alongside the vessel to locate whale activity, while underwater cameras and hydrophones let you see and hear these remarkable marine mammals beneath the surface.

‘Eye Spy’ is moored on the Northern Finger of the Redcliffe Jetty, boarding from 9:00am for a 10:00am departure

  • 7:00am: Brisbane hotel pickup begins for guests who’ve booked the Bus Transfer upgrade
  • 9:00am: Check-in at the Redcliffe Jetty, 160 Redcliffe Parade
  • 10:00am: Depart Redcliffe for Moreton Bay aboard Eye Spy
  • 10:00am – 2:00pm: Cruise Moreton Bay in search of humpback whales, with lunch served on the main deck and commentary by captain and crew
  • 2:00pm – 2:30pm: Return to the Redcliffe Jetty

5.5Hr VIP Whale Watching Adventure Tour (see alternate package): The ultimate whale watching experience, with exclusive access to a private VIP cabin, the vessel's top viewing deck, priority boarding, hosted service and premium onboard privileges.

  • Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to help@australiancruisegroup.com.au
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method.
  • No correspondence will be entertained for cancellations made after the free-cancellation period.
  • A ‘no-show’ refers to any confirmed passenger who fails to board the vessel prior to scheduled departure. Please note, we make every effort to ensure our cruises depart on time. It is highly recommended that all passengers are ready for boarding 15 minutes prior to the stated time.
  • An individual booking is defined as all bookings having less than 10 passengers on a single E-ticket. Individual bookings require full payment at time of booking.
  • Up to 4 days prior: Full refund
  • Within 3 days: 100% cancellation fee
  • Group bookings are defined as all bookings for 10 or more passengers on a single E-ticket. Group bookings can be made with a partial payment of 20% as deposit. The balance amount must be paid 7 days before the cruise date.

Will I definitely get a window seat?
Yes, the Premium ticket guarantees a place at a main deck window table with clear bay views; tables seat up to six and may be shared with other Premium guests on busier days.

What’s the difference between Premium and Classic seating?
Premium guarantees a reserved window table on the main deck, while Classic seating is unallocated; both share the same lunchbox, commentary and whale sighting guarantee.

Can I bring an infant on the Premium tour?
Infants can join, though no seat is allocated unless they’re ticketed as a child; let the team know at booking if you’re travelling with a baby.

Am I guaranteed to see a whale?
Yes, if no whales are sighted on your day of travel, you’ll be offered a complimentary seat on the next available departure.

What should I wear?
Dress warmly and wear flat shoes; a light waterproof wind jacket is handy if you plan to spend time on the outside decks.

Is parking available near the Redcliffe Jetty?
Yes, the Captain Cook car park, 100 to 200 metres north of the jetty at Redcliffe Parade and Klinger Road, offers non-time-limited parking.

Is my window seat reserved for the entire cruise?
Yes. Your main deck window seat is reserved exclusively for your booking, so you can enjoy uninterrupted ocean views without needing to find a seat after boarding.

Can I still access the outdoor viewing decks with a Premium ticket?
Yes. Premium guests are welcome to use the outdoor viewing areas whenever they wish before returning to their reserved window table.

Who should choose the Premium package?
Premium is ideal for couples, seniors and anyone who prefers the certainty of reserved seating without upgrading to the VIP experience.

  • Tours operate daily from June to November, weather permitting
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times
  • No BYO food or drinks; the onboard bar and snack counter cover extras
  • What to bring: sunscreen, sunglasses, a light waterproof jacket, camera
  • The mid-deck section is available to all guests, but only the Premium ticket guarantees the main deck window table and its inclusions
  • Main deck tables seat up to six guests and may be co-shared depending on numbers on the day
  • Bookings that include infants will not have a seat allocated unless the infant is ticketed as a child
