About This Experience

The 2Hr Lady Enid Sunset Sailing Experience is an adults-only sailing cruise operating aboard the heritage yacht ‘Lady Enid’, a restored 1962 timber yacht. The two-hour sail crosses Pioneer Bay toward the Whitsunday Islands, includes a welcome Aperol Spritz and a gourmet grazing platter, and returns to Airlie Beach at sunset. Guest numbers are limited, making it a much sought-after exclusive experience. Departure times vary seasonally, so check the schedule before arrival.

The Lady Enid Sunset Sail Experience

As the afternoon light softens over Airlie Beach, you step aboard Lady Enid – a beautifully restored timber yacht built in 1962. The polished timber decks, traditional rigging are tell-tale signs that this is something different from the usual Whitsundays day trip. 

Your evening begins with a chilled Aperol Spritz as the crew casts off and the sails are hoisted. You are welcome to try your hand at hoisting the sails with the crew. Pioneer Bay opens up ahead, the Whitsunday Islands framing the horizon, and the noise of the marina fades behind you. You can enjoy a shared grazing platter that is making its way around with prawns, cured meats, aged cheeses, and seasonal fruit.

With only a small number of guests on board, there's plenty of space to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of traditional sailing. As the boat makes her way back towards Airlie Beach, the sun slowly dips behind the Whitsunday ranges, casting golden reflections across the water and creating a beautiful sunset experience.

10Hr Lady Enid Whitehaven Beach Sail + Snorkel Cruise (see alternate package): The iconic full-day Lady Enid experience with Whitehaven Beach, Hill Inlet's swirling sands and reef snorkelling. Gourmet dining from morning tea through to your return sail.

8Hr Hook Island Cultural Tour & Snorkelling (see alternate package): The culturally distinct full-day option with ancient Ngaro rock art at Nara Inlet, Hook Island reef snorkelling and full gourmet dining at a lower price point than the Whitehaven Beach cruise.

  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method.
  • No correspondence will be entertained for cancellations made after the free-cancellation period.
  • A ‘no-show’ refers to any confirmed passenger who fails to board the vessel prior to scheduled departure. Please note, we make every effort to ensure our cruises depart on time. It is highly recommended that all passengers are ready for boarding 15 minutes prior to the stated time.
  • An individual booking is defined as all bookings having less than 10 passengers on a single E-ticket. Individual bookings require full payment at time of booking.
  • Up to 4 days prior: Full refund
  • Within 3 days: 100% cancellation fee
  • Group bookings are defined as all bookings for 10 or more passengers on a single E-ticket. Group bookings can be made with a partial payment of 20% as deposit. The balance amount must be paid 7 days before the cruise date. 
  • Up to 7 days prior: Full refund
  • Within 6 days: 100% cancellation fee

Check-in is at 3:45pm and departure is at 4:15pm, with a return to the marina at approximately 6:30pm. Departure times may vary seasonally; confirm your schedule in advance.

Do you pick up from island resorts?
No. The Lady Enid departs from and returns to Coral Sea Marina in Airlie Beach. Island resort pickups are not available.
