6Hr World Heritage Morning Cruise (Main Deck Window)

4.5 based on all time ratings

A morning cruise along the slow-flowing dark channels of Gordon River is a unique way to discover Tasmania’s UNESCO Heritage-listed Wilderness. This award-winning Gordon River cruise takes you past some of the most impressive riverside attractions including Hells Gates, Macquarie Harbour, mountain ranges, etc.

Enjoy all these attractions and more from the comfort of your main deck window seat!

Cruise through the narrow channel entrance of Hells Gates, and into Macquarie Harbour, where you come across an incredible array of fish farms. Continue your scenic journey to Sarah Island, where you can go ashore for an hour-long guided tour. Here, the guide paints a picture of the rich history and culture of the then harsh penal settlement, through mysterious anecdotes.

Get back on board the catamaran to savour a lip-smacking lunch featuring exceptional Tasmanian produce – feel free to enhance your dining experience with drinks from the licensed bar onboard.

Your final stop before disembarking is at Heritage Landing where you can explore the lichen-covered rainforest and see the 2000-year-old Huon Pine tree, along the boardwalk.

You will be guided by an expert crew who have been on the river cruising scene in Strahan for a long time; suffice to say you, will be aboard one of the best Gordon River Cruises.
