About This Experience

The Shaolin Seafood Lunch Sail is a 1.5-hour sightseeing and dining cruise departing from Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas. Sailing aboard the ‘Shaolin’, one of only a handful of authentic Chinese junk boats in Australia, the experience combines a fresh seafood lunch with a leisurely cruise along the Port Douglas coastline. A complimentary welcome drink, locally sourced seafood, captain's commentary and views of the Daintree coastline, Cape Tribulation and nearby islands are included.

The Shaolin Lunch Sail Experience

The Shaolin, with its dark timber body and sweeping sails, has become one of the most recognisable silhouettes on the Port Douglas waterfront. It feels more like stepping into a piece of maritime history and less like boarding a tour boat. Settle in with your welcome drink before setting sail.

As the traditional Chinese junk glides through Dickson Inlet and out along the Port Douglas coastline, enjoy a freshly prepared seafood lunch that includes locally caught prawns with accompaniments, along with crocodile and barramundi spring rolls. Non-seafood options are available when requested at the time of booking, while additional beverages can be purchased from the licensed onboard bar.

During the sail, your local captain shares stories and commentary about the region as you pass landmarks, including the historic Sugar Wharf, the original Port Douglas lighthouse and St. Mary's Church by the Sea. Beyond the harbour, enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ranges, Cape Tribulation, Low Island and Snapper Island before returning to the marina.

Who Is This Cruise Best Suited For

The Shaolin Seafood Lunch Sail is ideal for visitors looking to combine sightseeing with a relaxed waterfront lunch aboard a truly unique vessel. It's a great choice for couples, friends and small groups wanting a distinctly Port Douglas experience without committing to a full-day reef tour.
