Watermaarq Rip Seal Safari Summer Tour

4.5 based on all time ratings

Named after the infamous yet unique ‘Rip’ currents of Port Phillip Bay, this 1.5 hour adventure cruise takes you along the gorgeous Mornington Peninsula bays and coastline.

As you leave Sorrento Pier, get ready to welcome the brilliant views of the splendid cliff-top homes, and other onshore attractions that hold rich indigenous history. Following the trails of the cliff-top homes, you’ll reach the guard entrance to the bay known as ‘The Rip’, where the waters of the bay meet the seas of Bass Strait.

During summer you can spot hordes of migratory shearwater birds, rafting together at the surface of the heads. You’ll also see the only black lighthouse in the Southern Hemisphere!

In the waters of the Popes Eye Marine Park, keep an eye out for bottlenose dolphins, who regularly come to the surface to take a look at the boats and who’s on them!  Keep your cameras ready at all times, as there’ll be innumerable photo ops of the wild and playful pods!

The final stop before your disembark, and the main highlight of your experience – Chinaman’s Hat. From the comfort of ‘The Apollo’, you can get a close-up view of the well-known Australian Fur Seals, as they huddle together to rest, in between their hunting bouts and playful swims. This is also another prominent site to spot the bottlenoses!

Every trip is unique and will teach you something new, so it doesn’t matter if it’s your first or 21st time on this sightseeing tour! Book your experience today!
