Parking: No long-term parking at the dock; all-day paid parking is available nearby at Evans Street Car Park or Market Place Car Park. 

  • 7:15am: Check-in at Pennicott Wilderness Booking Centre, Franklin Wharf (next to the Constitution Dock Lifting Bridge).
  • 7:30am: Bus departs Hobart for a scenic drive to the Tasman Peninsula.
  • 9:30am: Arrive at the Port Arthur Historic Site to commence land exploration and heritage touring.
  • 1:30pm (Approx.): Board the vessel for your 90-minute coastal wilderness cruise around Cape Raoul.
  • 3:00pm: Return to Port Arthur Historic Site for additional free time, dining, or walking the historic grounds.
  • 4:30pm: Board the return coach bound for Hobart.
  • 6:00pm: Arrive back at Franklin Wharf, Hobart.

  • Meals and drinks are not included, but several dining venues are available within the Port Arthur Historic Site

What should I wear on the cruise? 
It is essential to dress warmly in multiple layers, even during summer, as weather conditions on the open water can get very cold. Bringing warm jackets, thermals, gloves, scarves and beanies is strongly advised, though full wet-weather protective jackets are provided onboard to wear over your clothing.
Is this tour suitable for young children?
Children of all ages are welcome aboard. While parents are the best judge of how their children handle time on the water, most children thoroughly enjoy the high-energy boat ride and wildlife encounters.
Where can I park my car for the tour?
All-day paid parking is available nearby at the Evans Street Car Park or Market Place Car Park, as long-term parking is not available directly at the Franklin Wharf check-in location.
What happens if I miss the boat or coach departure?
Cruises and coach transfers depart strictly on time. Guests who fail to check in or board prior to the scheduled departure time are classified as a 'no-show' and forfeit the full ticket cost. Checking in at least 15 minutes prior to departure is mandatory.
Are meals included in the tour?
Food and beverages are not included in the tour price. However, you can purchase lunch and snacks at the dining venues located within the Port Arthur Historic Site.
