Whale watching in Coral Bay is one of most adventurous experiences on offer at the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Reef.

This 3-hr cruise includes a leisurely cruise on Coral Bay to visit the majestic humpback whales in their natural environment. BYO option is available on board. The friendly and professional crew on board will offer information about the reef and its marine life.

During the cruise, you will get an opportunity to see the whales from up-close and watch how they communicate through tail-slapping, breaching, waving, slapping pectoral fins and even sleeping. You might also spot resting mothers and calves in the calm waters of Batemans Bay. The cruise also offers a great chance to see many other marine animals such as dugongs, turtles and other whale species. Sip on your complimentary glass of champagne and snack on the delicious finger food served on board as you cruise past the picturesque Coral Bay.

You will be cruising on board a spacious multi-level boat that offers the best views of Coral Bay on your short journey to the whale playground. The cruise is built for comfort, speed and open ocean cruising and has a spacious changing room and toilets.

The Ningaloo Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is known for its outstanding natural assets and cultural significance. It is estimated that 300 to 500 whale sharks aggregate every year. The marine environment also contains a large diversity of habitats including reefs, open ocean, continental slopes, continental shelf and lagoons.

Coral Bay Eco Tours is a family run business in Ningaloo that was established in 1994. They have a professional and knowledgeable crew on board all of their three vessels, adding an educational spin to their tours.

Additional Information

All staff have completed the AHA COVID-19 Hygiene Course and all tours will have a registered Hygiene Officer onboard
Crew safety briefings will outline the necessary procedures and practices on the tour vessel which guests must adhere to
To minimise the risk of transmission through use of shared equipment, guests are encouraged to either bring their own masks and snorkels, wetsuits and other personal gear, or purchase new, unopened equipment from the office.
Complimentary hand sanitiser will be available at our office and at sanitising stations throughout our vessels.
Crew will be frequently cleaning and sanitising all regular contact surfaces during the tours.
Various signs and information posters are displayed at our office and on tour vessels to remind everyone of the increased procedures and safety precautions
