About This Experience

The Resort & Beach Day Cruise is the simplest way to experience Moreton Island, combining return ferry transfers from Brisbane with a full day at Tangalooma Island Resort. With no fixed itinerary or guided activities, you have the freedom to spend the day exactly as you choose – whether that's relaxing on the beach, enjoying the resort facilities, trying sandboarding on the island's famous dunes or simply soaking up the laid-back island vibe.

The Resort & Beach Day Experience
Your day begins with a scenic catamaran cruise across the Moreton Bay Marine Park to Tangalooma Island Resort. As you arrive on the island, there's no schedule to follow, giving you complete flexibility to explore at your own pace from the moment you step ashore.

Whether you prefer stretching out on the beach, cooling off in the calm, clear waters or spending the afternoon by one of the resort's swimming pools, the day is entirely yours. For those looking to add a little adventure, Moreton Island's towering sand dunes offer the chance to try sandboarding. This is one of the island's most popular land-based activities and an easy way to experience its unique landscape.

Throughout the day, you'll have full access to Tangalooma Island Resort's facilities, including its pools, restaurants, cafés and bars, with an included lunch voucher, making it easy to enjoy a meal without leaving the resort. If you'd like to extend your experience, you can choose the ‘Extended Island Time’ upgrade and take a later ferry back to Brisbane.

Who Is This Cruise Best Suited For
This experience is perfect for those who prefer flexibility over a planned itinerary. It's well suited to families, couples, groups of friends and anyone looking for a relaxed island escape with the freedom to choose between beach time, resort facilities and optional activities.
