About This Experience
The Town of 1770 is a diver’s gateway to some of the most pristine and remarkable marine ecosystems existing in the Capricorn Bunker Group.
This sought after scuba diving trip is led by Master Reef Guides with 10 years of experience under their belts. The low diver to guide ratio 7:1 is one of the reasons why tourists and scuba diving enthusiasts prefer this double dive tour over others. Enjoy personalized attention and learn more about the reef and marine conservation from the professional dive guides and through informative presentations.
Start your Double Dive Adventure onboard 'Yemalla', a custom-built dive boat with the capacity to hold up to 20 divers.
Your first dive site will be one among the charming and remote reefs that encompass vibrant coral formations. The crystal clear waters of these untouched reefs provide you with visually striking underwater experience.
After the first dive, make the most of your surface interval by snorkelling the uncrowded reef sites or relax on the boat and indulge in locally prepared snacks/lunch and beverages.
For the second dive site, you will be taken to a reef brimming with marine life. You will come across a school of colourful reef fish and graceful sea turtles as you explore the natural splendor of the Great Barrier Reef.
Encounter endless marine wildlife, including wrasses, dolphins, and manta rays, all year round. From June to November, there is a likely chance that you will come across the migrating humpback whales!
The dive sites will be chosen from the 7 world renowned reefs in Capricorn coast based on the weather and season to ensure best visibility and safety:
- Llewellyn Reef
- Lamont Reef
- Boult Reef
- Fitzroy Reef
- Sykes Reef
- Heron Reef
- Lady Elliot Reef
