About This Experience

The 5-hour Moreton Bay Sailing Cruise is a half-day island escape with a choice of morning or afternoon departures from Cleveland, Brisbane. Combining a scenic sail across Moreton Bay Marine Park with swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, boom netting, a freshly prepared lunch or refreshments, and free time to explore Peel Island (Teerk Roo Ra), it offers a relaxed way to experience one of the bay's most secluded island destinations.

Moreton Marine Park & Peel Island Discovery
Your adventure begins aboard the sailing catamaran ‘Aria’ as morning or afternoon refreshments (depending on chosen departure) are served. As you leave the mainland behind, you'll pass the historic wreck of the ‘SS Platypus’, now transformed into an artificial reef. Keep watch for Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins, the rarer Australian Humpback dolphins, sea turtles and migratory shorebirds along the way.

After you anchor at Horseshoe Bay on Peel Island (Teerk Roo Ra), you'll have time to experience one of Moreton Bay's most peaceful island destinations. Once home to a historic quarantine and leprosy settlement, the island is now known for its unspoilt beaches, calm waters and scenic bushland. Spend your time swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, relaxing on the aqua mat, exploring the shoreline or joining in beach games.

One of the cruise highlights is boom netting, where you'll be gently towed behind the yacht in a large net, creating a fun and refreshing way to enjoy the bay. A freshly prepared lunch with a complimentary drink is served during the day. Additional drinks are available for purchase on the return sail.

What Is This Cruise Ideal For?
Ideal for travellers with limited time who still want an authentic Moreton Bay experience. The flexible morning and afternoon departures make it easy to fit this half-day sailing adventure into a Brisbane itinerary, while the water activities and dolphin sightings ensure you don't miss out on the best of Moreton Bay.
