About This Experience

The Bremer River Junction Cruise is a 7-hour river sightseeing cruise that goes beyond the city centre into the river's quieter upper reaches. Departing from Hamilton at 9:00am, the cruise follows the historic waterway towards the Bremer Junction, with live commentary from the Captain, morning tea, a freshly prepared BBQ lunch and afternoon tea included. Returning at approximately 4:00pm, it's one of Brisbane's longest river cruises and a relaxed way to experience parts of the river rarely seen on shorter city sightseeing cruises.

Discover The Upper Brisbane River
The cruise traces the Brisbane River past grand riverfront homes, leafy suburbs and modern developments before pushing further upstream than most Brisbane cruises reach. It passes through Indooroopilly, Jindalee, Westlake, River Hills and 17 Mile Rocks on the way toward Moggill and the Bremer Junction.

Live commentary from the Captain threads together the river's history and landmarks along the way, from its earliest river trade routes to the redevelopment visible from the water today. Reaching the Bremer Junction depends on the day's river conditions, and the Captain adjusts the route where needed to keep the cruise safe and enjoyable.

The leisurely pace is complemented by food service. Soon after departure, enjoy freshly baked muffins with tea and coffee as morning tea. Around midday, a classic Aussie BBQ lunch with steak, sausages, salads, bread rolls and seasonal fruit is served, followed by afternoon tea with biscuits and hot beverages as you cruise back towards Hamilton.

Who Is This Cruise Best Suited For
This cruise is ideal for Brisbane locals keen to experience a different side of the river, history enthusiasts interested in the city's waterways, and retirees or groups looking for a leisurely full-day outing. If you've already experienced a Brisbane city sightseeing cruise and want to venture further upstream into areas few visitors see, this offers a rewarding alternative without leaving the comfort of the boat.
