Last year, Australian Cruise Group participated as an official member of the Vivid Sydney Local Business Program. Our flagship vessels lit up in unison with the city’s high-rises and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, creating a vibrant and coordinated display of Vivid Lights. The 2024 Vivid Sydney Program has been unveiled. Here are some of the highlights to look forward to:

Lighting Of The Sails: Echo
An icon of the festival – this year’s ‘Lighting of The Sails’ will breathe new life into centuries-old fabric techniques, as the sails of the Opera House light up with digitised textural artwork that depicts the enigmatic tale of Narcissus.

Love is in the Air
A festival favourite in the making, the drone show happens only for three special nights this year. Over 700 drones will light up the sky above Circular Quay to form love symbols through spectacular formations. It's a celebration of romance and connection, reminding us of the enduring power of love.

Vivid Light On Sydney Harbour
A vibrant display that spans the sea, sky and land – ferries, boats and cruises that sail along the harbour light up in unison with the city’s high-rises and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Global Rainbow
Guiding beams of rainbow colours emanating from the Sydney Tower Eye, the tallest building in the city, extending the footprint of Vivid Sydney for up to 40 kilometres.

Faces Of Change
The pylons of the Sydney Harbour Bridge portray the dramatic faces of the Torres Strait 8 (TS8) climate warriors, exploring humanity’s deep connection to nature through their prophetic stories.

Our Connected City
Sydney’s towering skyscrapers and the Harbour Bridge unite to form a vast canvas for the interplay of laser beams and searchlights. Over 150 searchlights criss-cross the sky, while thousands of light projections are reflected on the waters of Circular Quay.
